Meet Kelly Lewis

Growing up in Spain, Brazil, and Southern California, my family was interested in the adventures of the culinary world. We thrived on fresh, flavorful food all prepared lovingly in the epicenter of our home...the kitchen.

My mother was a testament that anyone can learn to enjoy cooking–as she didn’t know how to boil water until she met my father. Her favorite newlywed story: When my parents were first married, my mom would melt some butter in a pan and throw in some onions, the house would smell amazing and when my father walked in the door he would finish the dinner that he thought she started. It worked every time! Over the years, she learned to create incredible food and even wrote a cookbook in the 70’s, detailing all of our favorite recipes that she did not want us to forget.

As a child, I always wanted to help cook and lick the spoon. At five years of age, I was given my first cookbook, The Pooh Cookbook. (I still have it.) After college, I went to Tante Marie Cooking School in San Francisco and taught cooking classes at Williams Sonoma. Later, I branched out to hosting cooking parties, catered events, and worked in a corporate kitchen on the Peninsula.

I have now been a private chef in the Bay Area for almost 20 years, preparing healthy, delicious meals for new moms and dads, working mothers, single fathers, and retired couples, as well as catering all types of seasonal parties. I also specialize in creating meals for those with special dietary needs.
My food is delicious, flavor-packed comfort food. I use local, seasonal ingredients and put my heart into every meal so that you can…relax at home and Eat Your Heart Out!
